The time required for this process is about 20-120 milliseconds, however, multiple host names can be used for the various elements on a website, including the URL, images, scripts, stylesheets and items flash. With multiple host names only DNS lookup also increases which increases the load time of the page. Reducing the number of unique host names will reduce the number of simultaneous downloads, which can increase the load time of the page. Therefore, it is ideal to use a host when it is less than six resource. You can also use URL addresses instead of hostnames. This means that if you have a blog that is hosted on blog.yoursite.com instead can host it on www.yoursite.com / blog.
